The Micro story
Micro was founded in 1996 by Sveinn Sigurðsson and Steinn Árni Ásgeirsson. In its early years, the company mainly serviced Icelandic fishing vessels, but over time it grew into an established high-tech solution company designing and producing food processing equipment for a range of industries, mainly the fish industry. The company profile highlights more than 40 employees, over 100 customers, and more than 25 years of experience.
The Klaki story
Klaki traces back to 1972, when Benedikt Sigurðsson established the company to meet a clear need for better conveying solutions in seafood processing. It began with gravity rollers and telescopic conveyors and expanded into fish lifts, pumps, block ejectors and later automation, robotics and machine vision. Klaki has specialised for over 50 years in automated equipment for the food and production industry, at sea and on land — safe and reliable solutions, good service access and hygienic design being the hallmarks of its production.
